REIKI
Reiki (pronounced RAY KEY) is a combination of two Japanese words Rei which means "universal" or "spiritual" and Ki which means "life energy" so Reiki roughly means universal life energy.
What is Reiki ?
Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century, it is based on the idea that a universal energy flows through all living things and that this energy can be channelled by a practitioner to support the body’s natural healing processes. It works on the physical, emotional and spiritual levels activating the body's natural healing process and restores physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
It is considered a complementary therapy— not a replacement for medical treatment.
How Does It Work?
A Reiki practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the recipient’s body in a series of hand positions. The idea is that the practitioner acts as a conduit for the healing energy, which flows into the recipient to help balance their energy and promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Is Reiki Safe?
Reiki is considered safe and non-invasive. It doesn’t interfere with medical treatments and is sometimes offered in hospitals or wellness centres as part of integrative care.

There are several forms, but the original and most common is Usui Reiki, founded by Mikao Usui in 1922.
